About Ruth
Getting married is so special and exciting that every bride
dreams of a wedding gown that will be a perfect fit.
To make this dream a reality, choosing a seamstress for
altering and tailoring your dress is a very BIG decision. You
want to feel confident that you have chosen the right person to
work on your dream dress.
With over 20 years of professional custom alteration
experience while beginning as a child learning from my mother
and continuing with my skills while in college and later into my
adult life, I have been employed by some of the most
recognized and major bridal corporations in the country due to
these skills. I have also owned several businesses of my own,
although in different industries the love of tailoring and altering
wedding gowns for a ladies special day has always drawn me
back to the what I love doing the most; therefore, the creation
of “Bridal Alterations by Ruth”.
My experience is with all styles of dresses and fabrics, including
working knowledge of beading, appliqués, bustles, and many
ways of altering your dress for the absolute best fit. In most
cases there is a one-time fitting with a convenient pick-up time
that meets your schedule.
